Liselotte Watkins is an Italy-based super-Swede who has been a LaDoubleJ contributor since our launch. She’s the wild talent behind our lovably illustrated LaDoubleJ faces that pepper our website, and she is also one of the Great Gorgeous Girls who let us peek into her magical creative world at home and work. To top it all off, she’s just as vintage obsessed as we are. Already an accomplished illustrator, painter and collage artist, this cool creative has now picked up her paintbrush and taken her graphic, geometric aesthetic to 3D objects for the first time. “The Collage Series” is a carefully curated and magically painted selection of vintage vases, wine carafes and olive oil dispensers that LaDoubleJ has scooped up curated for our Milanese Wunderwall debut. These ceramic treasures have been rescued from anonymous purgatory by the flea-market affectionado Watkins who brought them home, lined them up and tickled them with a range of Italian-inspired paint colors ensuring that no two are the same. The pieces have been transformed from practical Italian tableware to pimped up beauties that are now one-of-a-kind art objects. The Collage Series debuts for the Salone del Mobile on our new Wunderwall where vintage clothing cozies up with a cacaphony of design pieces and underground talent that we love in our special creative corner down on the canals.
